¥32.80To implement the guiding principles of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth plenary sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee, and to advance the modernization of China's social governance system and capabilities, it is essential to promptly summarize and promote the experiences of local innovations in social governance. This book closely aligns with the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council, as well as the spirit of speeches by central leaders. Building on the research group of the "Construction of an Information Database for Innovation in China's Social Governance Research," nearly 50 innovative social governance cases were selected based on criteria of innovation, authenticity, effectiveness, and sustainability. These cases are organized into eight sections: Comprehensive Governance, Public Services and Public Safety, Big Data and "Internet Plus," Participation of Social Forces, Grassroots Democratic Consultation, Urban Community Governance, Rural Governance, and Ecological Environment. These cases highlight the practical innovations, approaches, and measures adopted by local governments in the field of social governance in recent years, providing significant insights for advancing the modernization of China's social governance system and capabilities.

Wei Liqun is a member of the Communist Party of China, a professor, and a doctoral supervisor. He has served as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary-General of the National Development and Reform Commission, Deputy Director of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission Office, Director of the Research Office of the State Council, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Academy of Governance. He was a member of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Deputy Director of its Committee for Cultural and Historical Data. He also served as a member of the 16th and 17th Central Committees of the Communist Party of China. He has participated in or led the drafting of numerous important documents and speeches for the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council. He has overseen many major research projects, yielding a wealth of valuable scientific research and policy advisory outcomes. He has been appointed as a professor and doctoral supervisor at Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, the Chinese Academy of Governance, and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges. In October 2010 and January 2015, he was appointed Dean of the China Academy of Social Management and Dean of the School of Social Development and Public Policy at Beijing Normal University, respectively. His current major social appointments include: Member of the Expert Advisory Committee for National Philosophy and Social Science Research, Head of the Applied Economics Group of the National Social Science Fund, Member of the Advisory Committee for the Central Marxist Theory Research and Development Project, and Executive Vice Chairman and Director of the Academic Committee of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges. In 2009, he was selected as one of the "100 Economists Who Influenced China's Economic Development over the Past 60 Years." In 2014, he was recognized as a "Representative Figure in the Development of Chinese Think Tanks." In 2015, he was included in the list of "Famous Chinese Scientists of the 20th Century." In 2016, he was named one of the "Top Ten Think Tank Figures of the Year."
